Bodies Over Bargains: Fit For A King Deliver Black Friday Chaos at The Ritz Raleigh (11/28/25)

Fit For A King’s “The Lonely God Tour” November 28, 2025 stop at The Ritz in Raleigh transformed Black Friday into a relentless showcase of modern heavy music. Supported by Make Them Suffer, Spite, and 156/Silence, the night was defined by crushing riffs, nonstop movement, and a crowd as aggressive as the bands themselves.
156/Silence from Pittsburg, PA kicked off the evening with jagged riffs and emotionally charged vocals that immediately drew the audience forward. Circle pits formed early, and the first crowd surfers launched toward the barricade as the room began to pulse with energy. For an opening band, their intensity set a high bar and eliminated any sense of a “warm-up.”
Hailing from California, Spite followed, turning intensity into full-scale chaos. Relentless drumming and bone-crushing breakdowns kept circle pits spinning across the floor, while crowd surfers flew overhead in rapid succession. Front man Darius Tehrani prowled the stage, delivering venomous vocals that dared the crowd to push harder—and they did, with every pit colliding and reforming in perfect sync with the band’s aggression.
When Make Them Suffer of Perth, Australia hit the stage, the mood darkened while the pressure remained. Their blend of cinematic melodies, atmospheric electronics, and crushing heaviness kept the crowd unsettled and engaged. Circle pits continued to churn, while waves of crowd surfers added to the intensity. Their dynamic control made the set unpredictable, moving smoothly from haunting moments to punishing lows.
As headliners, Tyler Texas’ own Fit For A King delivered a performance that felt both methodical and catastrophic. Thunderous riffs and surgical breakdowns dominated the set, sparking the largest and most sustained circle pits of the night. Crowd surfers surged continuously toward the barricade, turning the front of the venue into a blur of movement and energy. Ryan Kirby anchored the chaos with commanding intensity, while the band’s tight rhythm section and guitar work ensured every hit landed with maximum force. The pacing of the set left the audience fully spent, yet fully engaged, until the final notes.
By the end of the night, The Ritz was a whirlwind of sweat, chaos, and exhilaration. Each band contributed to the mayhem, both onstage and in the pit, turning Black Friday into a night of unforgettable destruction. Fit For A King didn’t just headline the show—they orchestrated it, leaving Raleigh with bodies over bargains and memories that will linger long after the lights went down.
